Car 923 Giclees
Car 923 is a New Orleans Trolley car carrying workers, tourists and students from downtown Canal Street near the French Quarter through the beautiful and historic Garden District, past Loyola and Tulane Universities and the Audubon Zoo. It is turned in a roundabout on the far western boundry of the city in order to head downtown and start all over again. In the painting I tried to capture all the cache and romance associated with the city and the St. Charles trolley line in particular.
The original painting is 30"x30'.
